If you are an owner of a Bolognese, then you should know that this breed of dog loves to go for a walk on a daily basis. When you are out for a walk with your Bolognese pet, isn’t it great to look good wearing the Bolognese “Attack of the Killer Bologneses” Hoodie ? Some pet owners try to show their love and affection for their pets in every way they could possibly do, so if you are one of them, then this is definitely for you. Just like the Bolognese’s coat which is soft and fluffy, this hoodie is made of 100% cotton and can give you the most comfortable feeling while wearing it, just like how you feel when you are with your pet. Although most of the time, a Bolognese dog comes in white, this hoodie is brown and comes in different sizes unlike the Bolognese pet who is naturally small in stature. You will definitely enjoy this hoodie just like how you enjoy your Bolognese’s fluffy coat.

People who own the Bolognese dog love their full, fluffy white locks and their being hypoallergenic as not to start any sneezing. But how can owners get to cuddle their pets if they simply do not come when asked or commanded to? Teaching a Bolognese should be easy for they are smart and eager to please their owners. Here are a few things one can do.

Have the Bolognese on a leash and have him sit around 3 feet in front. Owners can slightly bend their knees and spread their arms and say COME. If he does come, give a reward and praise. If he doesn’t, a sharp clap should grab his attention and start with the command again. Do this by slowly increasing the distance between the dog and owner. Later on owners can move backwards while the dog is approaching. However, if the dog starts to swerve away, a tug on the leash should be done and movement towards the opposite direction to get them back on track. Patience and consistency are needed in all kinds of teaching or training.

Well, if you’re new at finding a canine companion then you may have to step on the brakes a bit and know more about the breed before setting out on an impulse buy. There are both good breeders and bad breeders out there and only the good and reliable ones are dedicated to developing a quality Bolognese by accurately following the standard defined by a governing purebred body, group or club. For example: a purebred Bolognese has a white coat that is soft and wooly and can grow 3 to 4 inches, with loose, open ringlets that give it a cuddly look. They have no undercoat and are considered to be hypoallergenic. Although small, they have muscled and well compacted bodies and stand about 10.5 to 12 inches. Here are some red flags and go signals for prospective buyers to keep an eye out for:

Red flags for shady breeders:

Poor kennel environment

No spaying or neutering procedure advised or done

No verifiable certificates of said champion lineage

Grab and go: pay and take puppy with no proper introduction or orientation on proper Bolognese care

Go signals for reliable breeder:

True to the breed’s temperament of being calm and good tempered as well as intelligent

Offers thorough discussion of the breed with the owners and takes time to answer questions

Gives directions or assists in the dog’s registration

Certificates to show the dog is of sound health

With tons and tons of information out there, you may get disoriented with the different opinions and some unfounded claims of various breeders. But you don’t have to fear with Euro Puppy. Serving families in over 80 countries, this group is composed of many dog experts, enthusiasts and lovers that have pooled their vast knowledge on knowing what quality dogs are and able to give quality and educated information for making the right choice. That, with a lifetime guarantee and being part of a canine global community, you can’t go wrong with Euro Puppy. When getting a companion that will be part of your family, don’t settle for less. Contact Euro Puppy now!

The Bichon Bolognese, or simply the Bolognese is a dog of the Bichon family. The bichon type of dogs are typified by long hair (not fur) that doesn’t shed and their curly tails. They were not bred for sporting and originated from the Barbichon from which they get their name. The Barbichon was a type of water spaniel that is hailed as the ancestor of the poodle!

The Bichon Bolognese tends to be reserved or shy when confronted with strangers, but they are very loyal to their owners. They are also easy to train. Bichon Bolognese dogs come exclusively in pure white colors.

The Bichon Bolognese were frequently given as gifts to noblemen and kings during the medieval times. Unfortunately, this wonderful dog which was once the favorite of kings is not well known and at one point, the breed was in serious danger of extinction. However, the numbers has been increasing slowly and one can only hope that more of these dogs will be taken up into loving homes.

This lttle dog breed originates from Southern Italy; from Bologne. Hence it’s name. The only thing it has in common with the rich sauce is the place of origin, as not in color or in texture does it resemble the rich sauce that is loved by all Spaghetti eating fans! But like I said, we are not here to swop recipes. So what of the little dog from Bologne? Well…

In appearance, the Bolognese is a small dog breed with a white, distinctive and compact single coat. In other words it has no undercoat. The fur falls in loose open ringlets all over the body when allowed to grow long and shorter hair on the face can be seen. The hair’s texture is woolly, as opposed to silky and is never trimmed or clipped. The hair is non-shedding, but requires regular combing to prevent it from matting. Bolognese dogs who aim for the red carpet as show-dogs of course need much more care. Like its cousin, the Havanese, the Bolognese is also a hypoallergenic doglet, which is good for those dog lovers that suffer from allergies!
